Outraged by homecoming rules
One thing that rubs me the wrong way is the ridiculous rules that housing puts into place during homecoming week.
NO VISITORS... LET ME CHECK YOUR ID... NO ALCOHOL...
These rules get on my last nerve. How are they going to tell me I can't have a visitor or I can't get into my room without them checking to make sure I stay there?
The $623 check I give y'all every month says I live there. What if I were to say, "Let me check your ID to make sure I can pay y'all this month?"
They would probably look at me crazy.
Another thing I just don't understand is how they have the right to tell me I can't take a shot of vodka if I feel like it. Legally speaking, I have the right to drink whatever I want after I turn the age of 21.
If you ask me, these ridiculous rules are just a way to make our time here at Prairie View more hectic.
Don't get me wrong; I do understand the safety issue. However, what I don't understand is what being safe has anything to do with me having a guest at a place where once I again I pay $623 a month or me having a drink even though I am of age.
Don't even get me started on them trying to fine you for not following these rules. How am I going to get fined for having company at my apartment, where I pay rent? The devil is a lie!
Then they hire these security guards who are just too extra. They move entirely too slow. It takes an entire hour to even get past them.
I don't understand why I should have to wait an hour to get into a place that once again cost me $623 a month.
Let me stop ranting about these ridiculous housing rules. What I need to be ranting about are these ridiculous meal plans that I NEVER use... But that's a subject for another day!
